| In 1973 and 74 Amtrak received it''s first new order for power from EMD, the infamous SDP40F''s. They took delivery of 150 of these new units in two batches. This collection will include shots taken early in 1974 at Chicago. In 2011, Amtrak unveiled versions of a "Heritage" paint scheme, paying homage to the early colors painted on Amtrak locomotives. | |||
