| John stumbles upon the accident scene of the Broker derailment in Woodbridge, N.J., the day after the terrible accident that claimed 85 lives and injured 500. Back then, accident investigation scenes were not as secured as they are today, and John had no problem walking up to the street level just below the elevated portion where the PRR suburban train hit a shoefly sloworder at speed the day before. These are the only color photos of the wreck scene that have ever surfaced. | |||
