The active PRR steam found at South Amboy was a magnet to John. And the Raritan Railroad had a yard nearby. He began by shooting the K-4s from the PRR still working the Long Branch as they waited for departure. Included in the group of K4''''''''s was the famous PRR 1361, one of two K4s later saved. Also recorded was the colorful equipment of the Raritan Railway, which had their yard next door. Then John moved on down the Long Branch to Bay Head Junction, where he photographed Pennsy steam and got invited into the cab of one of them. | |||
