| All shots from a single roll of film taken on Labor Day 1977. The day began with a grab shot of a Rock Island train at Muscatine, IA., then at Mt. Pleasant, IA., the Midwest Thresher's Reunion activities featuring steam and trolley action were photographed. The end of the day was spent photographing the cleanup of a Rock Island derailment at Walcott, IA. A broken rail sent cars from a westbound Rock Island off the rails a couple days earlier, and crews from the Rock and Hulcher were in the process of re-opening the railroad on Rock Island's Corn Belt route. | |||
