The locomotive is an Alco RS-1. I believe that the C&WI only had RS-1's. Also, this may be the Saturday-only outbound train that operated for those who had to work a half-day on Saturday. The Monday-Friday train was typically assigned all five ex-Erie Stillwell coaches in that timeframe. In any event, the car on the headpin (#39) is a real oddity, reportedly a former Chicago & Alton parlor car rebuilt to a coach by the C&WI.

That RS-1 had a Macintosh and Seymour 539 in-line 6. Built 2/50 #77849
