Closer look seems to indicate it is actually new track construction. Those appear to be new ties and the metallic silver/blue cast of new track spikes. plus there is no ballast in the cribs. Thanks for posting all these wonderful shots of a long ago era.

How did we get from the PRR line to LV? Is it possible the entire route was PRR? (if it is Hunlock Creek, this would be DL&W trackage.) Perhaps this is still PRR, on the east side of the Susquehanna, across from Hunlock Creek?
