My father, his uncle and my father in law were all conductors on the LIRR, my dad and father in law were hired the same day in 1957, and retired in 1979. I had many great train rides from Jamaica to Montauk riding in an Alco engine. I also remember riding in the motorman's cab on a pair of Budd cars going to Port Washington. I even got to blast the whistle when we were leaving one of the stations that we were stopped at. Dashing Dan, & the 1964-1965 Worlds Fair. Love those times and loved New York back then! C.P.
