It's definitely an eastbound on the P&T Branch at Thorndale. The passenger train is on #4 track and probably just about to go under the signal bridge just east of Thorn tower. The phase break signals are probably just out of sight on both the main and P&T Branch.

By the way, the P&T is not the Trenton Cut-off. It was a separate branch but tied into the entire Low Grade system. It began at Dale and ended at Thorn 10.5 miles, built between 1902-1906.

I really believe this shot is just east of Thorn tower, and the EB coal drag is climbing the Philadelphia & Thorndale branch that bypasses Downingtown..

Could be #4 track, just east of Thorndale with the coal drag heading east up the trenton cut off just east of Thorn interlocking. East of Thorn interlocking 4&3 tracks and 2&1 tracks were split by the Trenton Cutoff tracks.
