The consist of the PRR fantrip is seen along Jefferson Davis Highway (VA 110), looking toward Rosslyn. The smokestacks are the old Georgetown Generating Station. This location is thought to be very close to where the giant Iwo Jima memorial statue stands today. Passengers wait for a rescue engine to arrive and drag us back to the main line, at RO, then up the PRR freight line through D.C and the Main Line to Philadelphia, as far as Bowie. There other power would take us to Popes Creek. Note that car in the distance, it's seen again in the next view. |
