The structure to the right is the old PITT Tower which was replaced by the new huge tower next to it. Today the building serves as the Amtrak police headquarters for the area.

I'm curious about what looks to be an older tower just to the right of the much larger tower structure. When was it built, what was its designation (Pitt?), and when was it superseded by the larger tower? Also, what activity or equipment was housed in the single story part of the older tower on the far right in the photograph?
