Looking upriver from the US 67 bridge approach, we see O'Donnell Stadium on the right. The mainline is underwater to the left of the stadium, and yard tracks of the DRI-Line are seen to the left. Government Bridge, the crossing of the Rock Island RR, is in the distance.

Stub tracks at the far left, next to the Milwaukee's Freight House, were owned by the Milwaukee Rd. The Milwaukee bunk car in the middle of the photo was occupied by the Milwaukee's Roadmaster and his family. That was a bad flood but there have been worse with high water on both sides of Union Station, just beyond the road between the DRI and MILW stub tracks.
