Sir, i am no expert on the PRR but if I may say I think the classification of the locomotive is incorrect. I cannot see a 4-8-2 wheel arrangement but a 2-8-2, the leading driving wheel is close to the cylinders leaving no room for the second axle of the bogie. I could be wrong. Many thanks for continuing to add to this great collection of PRR images. 6979 in the three views included in this update is a class M1 locomotive, with the outside steam pipes above the cylinders and single air pump.
