At left, a BF30, on right #5826, a Baldwin Centipede BH50, downgraded to helper service, at 2500 hp per unit. A good question as to whether the steam generator was removed.

What's the difference between the BH50 and the BP60? Were the engines derated when the locomotives got moved from passenger service to helper service? Were the boilers removed? Thanks.
