I wonder if in 1952 the pair of E7's in the rear were classed EP40 -- later reclassed EP20 for the 2000hp rating of each unit. Yes, the units at right were EP22'a -- and all these diesel units are DGLE (dark green locomotive enamel), slanged as Brunswick Green, because the great Tuscan repaint doesn't start until 1953.

Note also the field of dwarves back sides! There are at least eight, but another one or maybe two of these dwarf PL signal shown from the front. Most views I've seen with dwarf PL signals typically have shown the signal front rather than the back.

These diesels are arriving from the west based on the view of the church. That is the Mulberry Street bridge they are sitting under, probably waiting for the GG1 transfers.
