The pinstripes have been replaced with the solid gold band on this GG1 leading a workday commuter train over the Raritan Bay Drawbridge on a dreary Tuesday, May 4th, 1956.

This photo of 4873 with at least 12 P70 coaches is crossing the Raritan River drawbridge with a NY&LB commuter train. It appears to have been taken from the Perth Amboy side of the bridge, so this is an eastbound train to NY Penn Station. Thanks for continuing to add to your wonderful collection of PRR and NY&LB images.
