SP's Shasta Daylight is serviced before crossing the Cascades in Oregon. John was a passenger on this train to Portland.

Very nice photo of the stop at Klamath Falls. I remember going down to the depot in Klamath to see the Shasta when I was a kiddo. By then, it was mostly silver. (Thanks Greg, we corrected the spelling of Klamath Falls. -Webmaster)

Great photo! My great uncle was an engineer on that train--Portland to K-Falls and return. He retired in 1958 so he could be the engineer on this train. Thank you.
