Well Mike, thanks for the input! Do you know of this specific location on the L&HR? That bluff in the background has me thinking we are near a river. And their appears to be a station or shanty of sorts to the left, maybe this is a siding switch? We have it labeled as Warwick but there is some doubt, frankly. This was a deadhead move (see accompanying photo), I think it was going to the L&HR shops to layover for High Iron excursions, including those on your RR, the Erie-Lackawanna. Click the "trips" tab at the top of the homepage and scroll down to "High Iron on the L&HS" from June of 1970. I've tagged these photos to appear in that trip. And thanks, we appreciate your info. |

I ran this 759 from Greycourt to Hoboken as a Road Foreman of Engines on the EL railway. I believe this is on the L&HR on the day that I ran it. Memories of the 759 are great. See my book that I wrote about my 56 years on the railroad...great photos. |
