The drop-center flatcar with a high-wide load is spotted in the yard. |

I'm modeling on a load project using such a PRR F29 depressed center flatcar. First what I must do is to give my new brass model a correct paint and lettering.
And what must I see here? A car with last pigments of a former coloring and nearly without a lettering! Should I work on same manner?

A question for the PRR experts. What was the preferred routing for high-wide loads across PA? I assume the tunnels at Gallitzen forced the company to route that traffic over the northern route to Buffalo? This load appears to be originating at Williamsport. |

I just love these depressed centers, you do not see many photos of loads, and I love the way the photographer picked up the homes in the background, as well as the weedy foreground. It's a great shot of a section of the yard. |
