This looks like the standard weekday consist of the day Cape Codder. For many years the Woods Hole section had 1 baggage-parlor-lounge car & 2 coaches. The train would be longer on weekends. At Buzzards Bay the Hyannis section would be coupled behind the Woods Hole section with a diner or grill car, coaches and a parlor car (probably a baggage-parlor combine). The Neptune to the Cape on Fridays and Sunday returning had a lot more cars, as it left NY after work. It was considered the "fun train." |
